Sunday Set List 10/16/2016

Tuesday, October 18th, 2016

After we get another few weeks in, I’ll do a side by side comparison and we can start to compile some statistics.  Not only that, but I’ll also be creating some Spotify playlists to reflect our efforts.

What an adventure it has been to feed not only off requests, but also whims of the day, and mid-song communication leading us to make all sorts of decisions, take all sorts of chances and use the music itself plus everything contained therein to carve out a path.  We had three set-list premiers this week, and an awful lot of weaving in and out.  Pretty sweet.  Enjoy the ride!

Seven Thousand Miles Home

Tuesday, October 11th, 2016

After a weekend that featured six thousand miles in the air plus another four hundred on the ground in 24 hours, I was ready to get back to The Playwright to show New York City what Sunday night is all about.

My return from the Seattle area, coupled with John Lennon’s birthday put a couple ideas in my head for some directions the set list might head in, but as always the requests poured in, the themes emerged and we took the ball and ran with it.  The crowd was loud as always and we continued our streak of non-intermissions with the final runtime of this show clocking in at 3hr 52m.  There are some Sunday night mainstays as well as some new additions plus the imagination of an international audience.  Enjoy!  We’ll see y’all next week.

It Finally Feels Like October

Monday, October 3rd, 2016

It was yet another marathon at the Playwright Tavern – a modest 3h 45m set, selected one by one between Patrick, myself and our international audience on the corner of 49th & 7th, in the center of the universe.

Once again, our dear friend Mike Casill came to the rescue as we ran into some early evening automotive troubles.  So, it was only appropriate that we gear our first couple of songs to our rock hero of the evening, who helped us out so much.  We had some brand new additions on the spot (marked below), and did our best not to repeat too many songs from last week while still hitting some staples for our faithful requesters, week in and week out.  Enjoy the list.  See y’all out there this week!
